If the table is small this could not be worth haggling over...
But wouldn't copying also be expensive since the new table will be logged?
How much more or less would the alter fragment be?
Since Alter Fragment handles the locking, create table, coping the
data, removing the old table, and unlocking... It is also very easy
to script...
