Hi ,
We are a financial services company who have recently applied for
membership to NASD in the States. One of the SEC requirements (17a-4) is
to preserve your records on Write Once Read Many (WORM) devices. Our Back
Office system records are stored in IDS (7.31 FD6). The application
is a 4gl based one. We use ontape to backup and restore the database. The
backups are to DAT which we re-cycle periodically. Does anybody out there
know of a "cheap" WORM storage device that we can archive our Informix
database to and restore easily enough from if required to by the SEC/NASD.
Thks,
John.
