Error -908 when connecting to remote db-server

Hi, I try to make a connection from my W98 workstation with a remote db-server (lives on Linux machine) and then I get error -908. I verified my hosts file, my services file. I entered the correct data in SetNet32. What could I have forgotten? Any help will be appreciated. Happy new year. regards, Henk

First make a "netstat -na|grep PORT#" on your linux machine. If the database server LISTEN to the port, everything on the server is ok and you must check your W98 machine (Informix)- settings.
