is replication in IDS 9.3.1 faster than in 7.3.1?
A colleague set up replication (across a WAN) years ago using Informix IDS 7.3.1, and complained about the performance. Since then they've upgraded to IDS 9.3.1, but are reluctant to try replication again. Q: have there been any replication performance improvements b/n version 7.3.x and 9.3.x? [ For example, perhaps 9.3.x now does one-the-fly compression [ before sending the deltas across the network? Thanks in advance. -Ted PS. this is on HP-UX 11.11, in case that matters.
In 9.3, we added a lot of logic to address many of the performance issues we had with 7.31. These biggest was dynamic parallelism of the apply.
