Alternatively, you can set OPTCOMPIND as an environmental variable prior to
running the SQL. In ksh:
export OPTCOMPIND=2
dbaccess <db> <query>
If you set OPTCOMPIND=2 in the config file, that will affect the WHOLE
engine, and all the queries that run against it. We've found that
OPTCOMPIND=2 _kills_ OLTP performance. Using an environmental variable lets
you selectively use the feature without affecting everything.
