Hi All, I want to be able to do a variable dumb from within a compiled program. Does anyone know of an equivalent to the 'dump all' command in the debugger that would allow me to dumb all of the variables and their values without explicitly listing them? Hey bud, The first thing is.. can you recompile the program yourself with the -g option? If so then use your debugger to display the variable or use the dump option to dump a memory area.... i recommend you read your debugger man page (if unix) or manual.. debuggers differ from on platforms..... have a play. As for all variables.. read the man page for your debugger for the print option (or which ever displays your variables) else i guess you'll have to poke around in memory... something i wouldn't advise. The i'd take it you're a wanna be hacker then... i mean why would you want to hack someone elses application for. end if In article <wrDY2.27741$134.324788@tor-nn1.netcom.ca>, "Shawn Dagg" <sdagg@netcom.ca> wrote: > Hi All, > > I want to be able to do a variable dumb from within a compiled program. > > Does anyone know of an equivalent to the 'dump all' command in the debugger > that would allow me to dumb all of the variables and their values without > explicitly listing them? > > Thanks, > > Shawn > > -- > ______________________________________________ > Shawn Dagg > MIC Inc.
