More precisely, I'm sure you need to use the same compiler that was used to build the C++ libraries, and I think that may be v2.96. The binary coding conventions used by G++ changed enough between 2.x and 3.x to force a change in the naming, hence the now missing symbols. Find out which compiler is in use on SuSE 8.0 and MDK 8.2 (g++ --version), and I'd be moderately surprised to find it is 3.x and very surprised to find it was 3.2.x. -- Jonathan Leffler #include <disclaimer.h> Email: jleffler@earthlink.net, jleffler@us.ibm.com Guardian of DBD::Informix v2003.04 -- http://dbi.perl.org/
