Best hardware configuration ?

This is a crossposted mail We have compared the 4 following Unix AIX 4.1 servesr as an RDBMS server (with exactly the same configuration CPU, cache, Hard disk, ...) : RS6000 from IBM DPX 20 from BULL ANS from Apple Motorola Unix server These 4 machines are binary compatible. The results were very clear, and Motorola provided the best cpst/value. For instance Motorola is up to 43% less expensive than the same IBM configuration ! Is there someone who already had similar comparaisons ? What are your conclusions ?
