Informix backup and temporary space

Can anyone help me? I have a Informix Online Workgroup Server 7.23 running on a Windows NT Server 4.0. When I try to do an Informix backup of the whole system, I get an error message: ERROR: Temporary space is insufficient to perform a backup. Free space in C:\\WINNT\\ISM34.TMP What does it mean?
