Multiple queries into a single temp table

Since my experience with SQL up to this point has been pretty weak (I know how to do basic stuff, but other than that I'm utterly lost :--(), I'm hoping someone out there can help me. The problem is this: I have several queries I wish to do, and I want to place the results of all of these different queries into 1 temp table, so I can return that to my program. I tried the following: select 1 col1, dealer_id col2 from dealer into temp dlr_manu_tbl; select 2 col1, manufacturer_id col2 from manufacturer into temp dlr_manu_tbl; This failed, telling me that the table dlr_manu_tbl exists when the second select runs. Can anyone tell me if this is even possible, and if so how I can do it. Any other suggestions on how I might get similar behavior would also be appreciated. NOTE: The queries I'm going to be using to populate the temp table are considerably more complex than the ones shown here. These are simplistic examples I was using to try to solve the problem Thanx in advance, Steve Dussinger
