It runs on most variants of UNIX and is quite inexpensive. It = allows pages to be sent directly from the UNIX box to text pagers. It = will also forward e-mail. No special technology is required, you only = need to know the modem number of your pager companies computer, and an = outgoing phone line to place the page. You can output errors from = scripts or programs to the e-mail server and have them forwarded to = individual pagers or groups of pagers. It works quite well. SPATCH is = distributed by the HYDE Company (770) 495-0718. Sorry I do not have = e-mail info on them. You can download a 30-day trial version of the = software from Unidirect's web site http://www.unidirect.com. Just be = prepared for a sales call!
