In practise, while we almost always RUN our online report-creating 4gls (invoice, policy printing), we use RUN WITHOUT WAITING in only one particular, heavily-used, entry program where the 4 to 12 seconds saved are really valuable. Ignoring error-handling may seem unwise, but the practical sit. suggests that its OK - we haven't had a related problem in the 2 years we have been using it. Meanwhile, local Informix Support seems to think that this process of RUNning rather than CALLing will not lead to my incarceration :). But, they are confirming with the UK office. ---------------------- Rudy Fernandes GIC, Kuwait OL 7.20, 4Gl 6.04 ----------------------
