I did a similar update not long ago, however I unloaded the tables, created the database and tables on the new version and reloaded my data from the unloaded files. It seems like a long way around but I didn't have any problems with it. I don't have any direction from Informix }on an upgrade procedure, so I'm simply copying the entire .dbs directory to }the new SE5 area, and accessing the tables without conversion. } }This worked on two entire databases, and worked for most tables on three }others. I've tried bcheck on the tables both }from the 2.1 package and the SE5 package. While they both report and correct }several errors, they don't affect whether SE5 can use the tables or not. } }I can't see any pattern to which tables work and which don't I think that }the oldest tables are most likely to have problems, but I can't pin that }down. We're }using SCO UNIX now; the tables were all created on SCO Xenix if that matters. } }If anyone has a magic answer, or can even point me in the right direction, }I would really appreciate it.
