Re: Authentication with PAM

Use ODBC pass thru security option. i.e. ODBC can be configured to pass your Domain UID & PWD to the database server. You will have to create syncronised list of users accounts and PWD's on the Linux or Unix server. This is 'common as muck'. Most VB apps can pass their workstation domain identities thru to the database server by correct setting of the ODBC connection string "....;UID=;PWD=;...." etc Noel "Ines Mueller" <i.mueller@digitask.de> wrote in message news:bde8ov$rcg$04$1@news.t-online.com... > Hi, > > we have some questions regarding informix authentication on > linux using the pam-system. > > At the moment we have a windows nt domain with a pdc and > some workstations, which authenticate themselves using the > domain.
