I recently sent an e-mail to a bunch of vendors asking about multidatabase joins, and the people that responded told me that they did optimize them. I won't specify the vendors involved since it was private e-mail, and I'm not at liberty to broadcast it to the world. In any case, I have not actually used the products, so my input is about on the same level as hearsay. However, I can at least say that some of the vendors have CLAIMED to optimize multidatabase joins. Followups directed only to comp.databases. DWF
