I'm not sure, but I think you're only going to get parallelism if you run on an MP machine. I think you should look at something like Sequent, rather than HP. The Sequent ports are often the first out. (I also quite like, funnily enough, RS/6000. They seem to have their disks set up particularly well.) All IMHO, of course.
