hey fellow db nerds, I have been running code that works fine on our boxes here (sounds familiar, doesn't it!) but doesn't give me a good response when our client runs it on their aix environment. I have had seen previous issues with Oracle on unix as compared to windows and was wondering if anyone knows of any differences between unix informix and windoze informix? I think in particular my code is failing when i am attempting to extract a xml file as a string from the db. I think the version of aix is 3.4 thanks J
Thanks for your reply.. There is not path information involved. The xml is simply string stored inside of a column of the db. I am currently working on getting a copy of the string, it could possibly be too large of a string. j
