sqlexec not terminating

We are running I-Net 5.01.WF1 on Windows for Workgroups work stations. On-Line 5.00.UD3 and STAR 5.00.UD6. The GUI front end is built with JAM 7.01. Problem: sqlexec (server daemon) intermittently refuses to disconnect. This symptom is the same as that described in Bug 28284. However, we are automatically running ISQLCHKR and the application is not exiting abnormally when the problem occurs. The JAM libraries use GetConnect and ReleaseConnect to open and close the application connection. The processes do not hang-up all the time; in fact, about three per day with 10-15 users who may log in/out several times per day. Any hints about a fix will be greatly appreciated.
