You don't actually need a special datablade to do this. I have Illustra
up&running and
there you have UPPER and LOWER functions. There is a nice feature in
addition: You can
create a index on the output of the function:
CREATE INDEX x1 USING BTREE ON mytab(UPPER(column)); (Syntax might beincorrect).
Then queries like select * from mytab where upper(column)="KJHKJH" would
use the index
which is much nicer than sequential scans.
