One thing to be careful about is getting your termcap or terminfo (I always forget which one informix uses) info right. Multicharacter keys can be a problem for INFORMIX because it has to separate out the ESCAPE as a character from ESCAPE as an introduction to an escape sequence (which is what most function keys send). If you set it to a single control character, you should not have a problem. I suspect your problem with F1 is that most VTx00-compatible terminals use F1 for XON/XOFF. You could probably turn xoff/xon OFF , but that is inadvisable in an application like INFORMIX which does a lot of screen drawing; the terminal needs to be able to say whoa! to the host. Try some other function key and it should work. -- -- Mike Kelly Odesta Corporation, Northbrook, Illinois, USA ...!clout!odgate!mike - Until odesta.com is registered. odgate!mike@clout.uucp - From the Internet.
