porting 4.x 4GL code to 6.01 - question -Reply

We Ported in March last year so I don't know if these are still current but at that time they were. 1. If int-flag was not checked after a construct the old behaviour was to substitute 1=1. Under 4.13 codestring (6.01) null now substituted causing program to fail. 2. Prompts or displays (can't remember which) which are wider than the window used to be truncated, but now cause prog to fail. This might have been fixed already. Things I know about: 1. Watch out for rowid access to records. Change to primary-key access, or add an explicit rowid (serial) field to the table, so if some DBA fragments my table my program won't die on duplicate rowids, etc. 2. When freeing cursors, if the cursor was prepared, free the prepared string and also free the cursor. In the older tools, you just had to free the prepared string. 3. Watch out for cursors declared using local variables in the where-clause. Anything else??? Thanks in advance for your help.
