When/if the hang re-occurs, do several onstat -g ath with about a 5 sec
wait in between. If there is is a thread with a "wait(closing)" status,
you are probably running into a networking problem. If the same theads
are in a running state on all of the onstats, then you are probably
running into a hung thread problem. In both of these cases, you need to
open a case with tech support and provide the onstats.
Also, you really need to consider upgrading to a more recent version.
There have been a lot of stability patches since the 7.12 days.
