Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

The Sybase 11014 tpmC number was on a DEC Alpha 8400 with 300 MHz
processors. The equivalent Oracle number on the 300 MHz system was
9414 tpmC. The Oracle 11k number was achieved with 350 MHz
processors. You can't compare the 350MHz result with the 300 MHz
result and imply that the Oracle DBMS is faster than Sybase. This
was the same trick that Oracle played comparing a HP K410 Oracle7
7.3 result with a HP K400 Informix 7.1 result. Comparing a DBMS
product that is not yet available on a newer faster chip, against
a DBMS product that has been production for over 12 months with
performance numbers on older hardware technology.
