lokking for Search engines for Internal Web servers

We are interested in setting up an internal web server for our company. The question has been asked re a search facility for identifying pages of interest (the same sort of thing yahoo etc provide but on a much smaller scale, operating internally only.). We would want to run off an Informix database. Has anyone developed/know of a commercially available product (or just some good ideas) on how to buy/build such an engine.
