We're currently running Informix Online 5.04UC1 on a Sparc 20 w/Solaris 2.4. There were a few problems getting it up & running, but when we initialized shared memory with the parameters listed in the $INFORMIXDIR/release/ONLINE_5.0 file, it worked perfectly. Informix wouldn't offer any assurances that Online 5 would work, but so far we haven't experienced any problems. Here are the values we used for shared memory: SHMMAX: 268435456 SHMMIN: 100 SHMMNI: 100 SHMSEG: 100 SEMMNI: 4096 SEMMNS: 4096 Of course, shared memory is one of those tricky things where disclaimers about your-situation-may-different definitely apply, but at least I can assure you that SOMEONE has Online 5 running under Solaris 2.4.
