problem dropping dbspace

I have ONLINE 7.12 on a HP9000 K200 with hpux 10.01 and have dropped all the databases within a dbspace. When I try to drop the dbspace using onmonitor or onspaces I get the following message 'dbspace not empty' and it will not allow me drop the dbspace. I ran oncheck -pe to view what was spread on the specific dbspace and I tablespace tablespaces spread throught out the dbspace. For what it's worth, the dbspaces contains four chunks.
