Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Pushpa asked how to pass a value from one 4GL program to another. Marco Greco suggested options: program arguments, pipes via the fglio package, a table, or environment variables, depending on how the programs interact. Mario Romo gave an example running fglgo with the values as arguments and reading them with arg_val() in the called program.

It can be done in all sorts of ways. I guess you may start with qualifying how
the first and second 4gl programs interact.
Does the first run the second? You could pass the value in the 2nd program
arguments.
You could have a couple of pipes and one writes onto it, while the second
reads from it (look for the fglio package in the IIUG software archives).
Store the value in a table?
Environmental variables?

Program that calls another 4gi program. let l_str_par = "fglgo prog1.4gi
",var1 Clipped," ",var2 Clipped," ",var3 Clipped
Run l_str_par on the other program: Main
Let parameter_1 = arg_val(1) # var1
Let parameter_2 = arg_val(2) # var2
Let parameter_3 = arg_val(3) # var3
End Main
