Re: Informix ACE Reports Reference Books?

Jim searches: >I'm looking for a good reference book on the Informix ACE reports >syntax. The reports are compiled with the isql command. All the >documentation that came with Informix software only briefly mentions >this. I'm running the Informix Online 7.13 on an HP-UX 10.10 platform. >Does anyone know a good reference book for ACE reports? That topic is covered in the "Informix I-SQL Reference", NOT the "Informix Guide to SQL-Reference." The former is the documentation for the I-SQL product, of which ACE is a subset. The latter is the more generic guide to how Informix uses the Structured Query Language. (This from memory. I did not see that manual available on the download web site.) It is even more confusing for us old-timers, as the ACE information *used* to be in the "Guide to SQL." You can find some excellent examples of ACE programming at the site of the IIUG, http://www.iiug.org with lots of book recommendations and some reviews. _____________________________________________________________ Clem Akins (aka clem@informix.com) Informix Software, Inc (Standard disclaimers apply) International Technical Support Last seen: In a new role as Ed Services manager, Menlo Park
