Yes, its possible to determine which physical CPU's the VP's run on.
We are running Sun Solaris as our O/S and it looks like you might be also.
Using the pbind command, I can list which physical CPU's process are bound
to.
Then, using onstat -g sch, get the pid's of the oninit process we are
running and map that to the output of pbind.
Example :
/u/informix$ pbind
process id 12961: 0
process id 13060: 2
process id 13061: 3
process id 13059: 1
/u/informix$ onstat -g sch |grep cpu
1 12961 cpu
3 13059 cpu
4 13060 cpu
5 13061 cpu
I have never seen those errors codes associated with binding.
