Isn't crashing Online because of a bad password just a wee bit drastic? Unless of course the rest of the message log is not relevant to the problem. Curious, is all. If Informix attempts to verify that user & password against the UNIX /etc/passwd file and is wrong, you will get this error. UNIX to UNIX server connection If Informix on server 1 is attempting to connect to a database server on server 2, you must again use a username and password.
