I do not really have any additional information to add, but after attempting to install OWS for the 23rd time I gave up. I found the install program to be extermely buggy and as a result what it finally did install suffered from various conditions. Here are some things I observed (tell me if I'm crazy): 1) I had a version from CD-ROM that installed various components in win32app even though I specified another directory. This seemed to be fixed in a later version I tried. 2) In a later version if I selected "Custom" as the install type, the dbspace would fail to create and resulting problems were too numerous to fix. 3) Even if everything seemed to go well, I still had problems with the Database Explorer coming back to say that the server could not be managed by ROM tools. Its all very frustrating and probably the worst product install I have EVER been involved with. Informix should learn how to atleast install an NT product in a big way. The tradgedy is, that although the server actually worked for only a short time on NT it seemed to work well. Its just not stable. That's just my opinion, I could be wrong. Thanks, Frank Dickinson
