dbschema

Using Informix 7 (as well as an earlir version 5) we have an error occuring
in a script which is used to copy a 'live' database to a 'whatif' version.
The error occurs whilst the script is running dbschema t create an .sql file
to be used for re-creating all the live tables in the alternative database.
The error has been reproduced using dbschema stand-alone, and takes the form
of the routine stopping just before creating the last part of the final
schema - which is actually for a 'view' not a 'real' table.
The only difference that I can see as to why this should happen at our site
is that I have added some tables over and above thsoe contained in our
'package'. The schema text lines for these seem to be OK.
Anyone out there seen anything like this before, who could offer advice ?
It would be appreciated !

Have not seen this one. Let me suggest that you report this to
Informix tech support and in the meantime see if myschema.ec can handle
your database schema. The source is available from the IIUG Software
Repository in the package utils2_ak. There is a known bug in that also
in handling certain views, if you hit it let me know I have fixed the
bug but not yet uploaded the latest version.

Hi, try to check if the databases involved have the same mode (no log,
unbuffered, buffered or ansi).
I'd this same problem, and you just need to alter the databases to they have
the same mode.
