[?] Fourgen Menus: any custom utilities around

Dear Net.Wisdom, It has been asked of me to produce a list of menu options in a delimited format similar to: "1|9|d|f|a|Actual description of option". This does not excite me terribly so I though I would check and see if anyone has heard of or developed such a beast. If not, any pointers as to what might be the best way to approach this (using shell scripts) would be most appreciated as I am not (yet!) intamately familiar with the Fourgen menuing system.
