I am in the process of pricing a new machine for my client. We are using a Bull-Honeywell DPX/2 machine to a DPX/20. I am using Informix SQL 2.10 right now they are suggesting that we purchase Informix SQL Development and Runtime AND ALSO Informix On-Line Development and Run-Time. Is this really necessary?? I am assuming (I know never assume) that I certainly do not need the On-Line (which is $22,000 as opposed to $4,750). I could get what I want hardware wise if the software was not so-o-o expensive.
