Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Has anyone out there set up there informix to run with a different character
set than the operating system?
I have hardware set up with utf-8 since we were initially told by our Linux
support person that they did not support iso-8859-1. I think that is
incorrect, but it is causing problems with our database displays for non-
american english characters on some of our applications.
Has anyone else had an issue with this? Can we work with the different set
between the database and the server?
Thanks!
