Automating an ontape restore

All, Has anyone ever tried writing a script to automate a warm restore e.g. not rootdbs etc, using ontape. The command to restore is ontape -r -D x y z where x,y,z are dbspaces, has anyone been successful in running this from a script. Im interested due to trying to automate restore of production onto DR machine.
