Ethernet Jumbo Frames (MTU size) & HDR replication

Good afternoon Informix community. Quick question. I'm configuring dedicated 1Gigbit Ethernet interface on a SuSE Linux Informix 11.50 Intel server for HDR replication. With this dedicated port, I was considering setting the MTU from 1500 to 9000. Has anyone seen any advantage to enabling Jumbo Frames for Ethernet in conjunction with HDR replication?
