I think it's important for Informix that as much Information as possible is spread about NewEra as many seems to be evaluating it as we are. Here are some questions we are interested in: Development without supertables or a proper sceem for maintaining them? Simpler use of ODBC (development and runtime)? Platforms supported for development and runtime? Particularly what servers can be used with application partitioning? (SCO and Windows NT are the most interesting for us.) Development on Windows 95 is a given, but can also Windows NT be used (I assume it can, just want a confirmation). What support will there be for OLE (how simple to use)? Also support for remote OLE objects on a server? Can OLE controls (OCX's) be used directly in the new painter? Will we ever see support for MDI type windows? (Informix claims Microsoft has said they shouldn't be used any more in Windows 95 and on, but Microsoft are using them all over the place. What do we do instead?) What are agents?
