Discussion on Illustra ORDBMS for Web-based Databases

Dear colleagues, I am currently in the process of comparing various DBMS products to decide which one to use for our Web-based database development. Among them, the Illustra ORDMBS is an appeal, even though we haven't really had any direct hands-on experience with it. Therefore, any opinion/comment/suggestion on this product and other database development tools will be very much appreciated. We currently do use Informix-SE 7.1 and the ESQL/CGI kit downloadable from the Informix Website. However, we don't know how we could make it support complex databases such as those with multiple tables and those with graphics that we will need once a while. The system we'll be using for the selected DBMS is most likely Sun/Solaris 2.4. But we are also open to other platforms/systems. Thanks a lot!
