Are you sure about bcheck? I thought secheck was the V7 equiv. Or do you mean
get a previous version's bcheck and use that? If it was just a typo., then
I've done the secheck, to no avail :(

Could be. I usually check by counting how many of myself are currently not in
here, and subtracting that from my known number of selves. If the answer's
< 2, then I'm OK.
