Hi,
Anybody is using the following settings
LRU_MAX_DIRTY=1
LRU_MIN_DIRTY=1
using Informix 7.3 Engine.........7.31.FD5 / HPUX-11
Heavily used OLTP system..
Current settings LRU_MAX_DIRTY=2
and LRU_MAX_DRITY=1
LRU=128
CLEANERS=128
BUFFERS=500000
slightly longer checkpoints.. As per the old postings, LRU_MAX_DRTY=1
and LRU_MIX_DIRTY=0 is not good.. I badly want to reduce the number of
dirty buffers at least to 1%..
CLEANERS are not able to bring it currently down to 1% because of the
high activity..Normally it is around 1.8% right before the
checkpoints..
Upgrade to 9.4? .. Yes it is an option long tem..
I would like to know whether anybody tried LRU_MAX_DRTY=1 and
LRU_MIN_DIRTY=1 settings..
Any adverse affect.. Yes engine does come up with the settings.
Any help is greatly apprecited
Mmmm .... how about reducing your CKPTINTERVAL ???
