I'm not certain what you mean by "random access". Could you please give an example? As a guess, you might be looking for the "FETCH PREVIOUS", "FETCH NEXT", "FETCH LAST", "FETCH FIRST" options of the "FETCH" statement. Check your SQL Syntax guide for an explanation. Or, you might try placing the results of you select into a temporary table and perform another select from there.
