Works for some code, other code needs simple modification, and yes there are some things, as I think I implied that Pro*C is not as powerful as ESQL/C, that Pro*C cannot do. See my reply to Dan Morgan for some details, but those are less commonly used features. Hence my conviction that if Girish is using ESQL just to supliment 4GL, he will likely not have any problems that are not easily worked around. Art S.
