I cannot comment on the lost tables and Stored procedures, but your upgrade
can be a simpler process - Examine the Migration Guide for details.
Essentially, an upgrade from 7.22 to 7.31 should involve bringing down the
7.22 instance, changing your environment variables to point to the 7.31
software, and bringing it back up. Throw in a set of backups, spice it with
Update Statistics and you're done. Don't you love Informix?
