Different locales

Good day. Problem description. Source DB has locale en_us.819, targed DB has locale lv_lv.1257, Win32 ESQL/C application must move data from the source to the target. So, is it possible for this application connect to both databases at the same time? And if yes, how to do the trick? Which environment variables must be setted up, which GLS files are required for that action? Regards, Leonid.
