Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

When I want to update tables, other users are often using them.
So I can't excute my update job.
What should I do?
"onmode -z session-id command" doesn't work well.
I uses Informix AD/XP 8.21UD3 on AIX4.3.1...
Thanks..

Another guess:
SET LOCK MODE TO WAIT;LOCK TABLE xxx IN EXCLUSIVE MODE;
... do your updates ...
COMMIT WORK;
While this script is waiting to get exclusive access,
you have to find those people using your table at this time.
Ask them to abort their database operations as soon as possible
and wait...
This should be a smarter way to "kill" other user sessions...
