Hi I am looking at ways of inserting data into a table from a FIFO (Universal Server 9:12), speed being the essence. I have tried both prepared statements in Java and C++ but find there performance inferior by some degree to using the ESQL/C insert cursor. From the documentation there does not seem to be an insert cursor for the Java/C++ APIs. 1) Why is this? 2) Should I be noticing this decrease in performance when using prepared statements - for compatibility with the rest of the application I would prefer to use the C++ API. 3) Any suggestions on how to speed up the load using the C++/Java API? The HPL and SQL LOAD are unsuitable in this case. Many thanks Mark Jenkins (mjenkins@adc.metrica.co.uk)
