linux install problem?

HI, i am trying to install informix on linux and i do the following rpm -iv --prefix $INFORMIXDIR *.RPM and i get the following error: rpm: only one of --prefix or --relocate may be used. if anyone could give me any insight to what is going on would they please email me at waldrop_brent@hotmail.com thanks Brent

And it is being used by Informix.
