Drop the constraint that the index was created for. Recreate the index independently from the constraint then add the constraint back in. The constraint will use the existing (new) index and you will be able to drop and recreate it easily next time. The utility myschema.ec in utils_2.ak in the IIUG Software Repository will print out a CREATE INDEX statement for even these auto-generated indexes, replacing the leading space character in the index name with a character indicating the constraint type that spawned it.
