I-NET 5.01 - The TRUTH

To all the guys (and gals) having trouble with the I-NET 5.01 WF2, be it with Delphi, IQ or whatever. The problem is solved. The isqli501.dll shipped with I-NET 5.01 for Windows does not work. The trick is simply to copy a isqli501.dll from the I-NET 5.01 WF1 version or lower in to the c:\\informix\\bin directory and client/server connections will be yours. Do not refer to Informix support, because they blame Delphi, Microsoft, Thatcher, etc. Change the DLL for an older one. Don't ask me why it works, but it does.
